RIGHT TO REALITY

Fighting for a future we can recognize

A proposal for: "The Right to Reality Act"

In this era of humanity, reality has been re-defined. With the rise of AI, deepfakes, online bots, and malicious misinformation, we are no longer living in a world where we can fully trust our eyes. And for the sake of future generations, this corrupted version of reality cannot be allowed to go unchallenged.

The Right to Reality is the assertion that the lived experience of human reality should be upheld by national law as an essential and fundamental human right.

As it stands, society relies on major social platforms to optimize human communication. Unfortunately, the internet is slowly becoming a place where authentic communication is harder and harder to maintain. The Right to Reality Act addresses the deception of human reality on the following fronts:

Human verified posting:

All major social networks with one million or more active daily users over a 60-day rolling average must include an option for users to verify that each piece of content was posted by a human being. This verification must be provided as an optional, user-initiated process, and may be achieved through device-level authentication methods such as Face ID-style confirmation or equivalent secure biometric systems already built into personal devices. Platforms must then clearly label posts as “Human Verified,” “AI-Generated,” or “Unknown Origin,” allowing users to assess content authenticity without restricting platform functionality.

What this does: It allows users to gauge the validity of any post by checking whether the content was verified as human-submitted. This does not restrict how social platforms are currently used; it simply provides additional clarity and verification tools for those who want them.

Artificial Intelligence Dividend:

A proposed tax on the purchase of enterprise-level artificial intelligence services, to be returned to the public in the form of a dividend.

What this does: It preserves the efficiency gained by businesses through the adoption of artificial intelligence and ensures the public benefits as well. It builds a shared stake in AI progress while still allowing businesses to maintain profit margins that would not be possible without these technologies.

Ban on Ghost Jobs:

All employment listings must automatically expire and require manual renewal. All job applicants must receive communication within 30 days of submitting an application. Employers found to be posting ghost jobs will be subject to a fine.

What this does: It provides essential transparency in a critical sector of our economy: employment.
